·
C-Band requires BIG dishes to be installed in
the viewers' home (over 1.5 meters in diameter)
and it is less prone to weather outage, such as
storms and typhoons.
·
KU-Band requires a SMALL dish to be installed in
the viewers' home (less than 1 meter in
diameter). This is very convenient and
portable. However, in typhoon-prone regions
such as some countries in Asia, you may have
signal problems when there's bad weather.
·
PAL / NTSC:
If you live in
Asia or South America and your country
takes NTSC Signal instead of PAL, please be sure
to purchase a receiver that is able to convert
from PAL to NTSC.
For your reference following is a list of SMTV's
satellite platforms specifying whether it's
KU-Band and C-Band.
Also attached is a footprint map of each
satellite platform, and an updated press release
document which as the latest DOWNLINK
parameters.
