三個問題 一個一個問，是嗎？
Three questions. Read them one by one.
第一我們只有一個上帝 一位造化
First, we have only one God, one creator.
我們叫祂佛性或是上帝 或是天堂的父親
We call Him Buddha Nature, God or Father.
統統都一樣
They're all the same.
我不可能和耶穌 有不一樣的上帝的
It's impossible for me to have a Father different from Jesus
因為我們是同一體嘛 我們是同一個地方來
because we are all one. We come from the same place.
還有，第二？
Second question please.
第二、上帝與耶穌的上帝 是否同一人？
Is your God the same as Jesus' or someone else?
那個是第一個嘛！
That's the first question!
哦，何謂上帝的旨意？ 什麼是天國樂園？
What is God's will? What is Paradise?
哦，上帝的旨意 我們開悟的時候比較了解
If we get enlightened, we will understand God's will.
因為我們不開悟
But we are not, and that's why when we run into any difficulty
有時候碰到困難的情況 我們就會怪上帝不懂
we complain that God doesn't understand us.
我們一直禱告 我們沒有聽到祂回答
We continue to pray to Him but we don't listen to His answer
我們認為上帝不理我們
and we think God doesn't care about us.
事實上祂都會指示我們
Actually He always guides us.
只是因為我們沒有開智慧眼
This is because we haven't opened our wisdom eye.
沒有聽到祂講
We don't listen to what He says.
所以才要開悟
That's why we have to get enlightenment.
所以才說先找內在的天國 然後所有的東西都會來找你
Find the heavenly kingdom inside and everything will come to you.

什麼是天國樂園
What is Paradise?
啊！那個開悟了以後就知道
You will know that once you get enlightened.
現在眼睛閉起來
Now close your eyes.
如果能夠集中的話 就也會感覺到天國的快樂
If you concentrate enough, you will feel heavenly bliss.
你能夠集中多少 你就快樂多少
The more you concentrate the happier you will be,
你能夠集中多少 你就看到天堂多少
and the more of heaven you will see.
就看自己集中的能力
It depends on your power of concentration.

從小到大我就是 一個悲觀否定的人
I have been a pessimistic and negative person since I was a child.
對於生活沒有安全感
I don't feel secure in life.
對於自己悲觀的個性 我總是改不來
I can't change my pessimistic attitude.

修觀音法門之後 一切都會改變的嗎？
after practicing the Quan Yin Method, will everything change?
一定，一定，我答應
Sure, I promise you.
我比你以前更懊惱的
I used to be more depressed than you.

如何才能明心見性 與修成無我？
how can we find our Inner Nature and eliminate our ego?
出去外面報名印心
Go out and register for initiation.
師父，我覺得 我與太太的個性不太合適
Dear Master, I feel my wife and I have very different personalities.
要如何讓兩個人都過得 快樂舒舒服服地生活
How can we live a happy and comfortable life?
因為彼此想要的感覺 和東西都不一樣
Because the feelings and the things we want are totally different.
啊！麻煩麻煩，唉呀
Ah! It's very troublesome.
你怎麼去問那個不結婚的人 這個婚姻的事情
How can you talk about marriage with a person who doesn't want to get married?
就是這樣子的啦
OK! OK!
我們本來的本性都一樣
The reason is our original nature is the same.
多數的，我們的同修以前哦
Many of our disciples in the beginning
夫妻有時候也不會 很那個同意
don't quite understand or agree with each other.
就是以後他們修行了以後 他們感覺了
After initiation,
因為佛性開了嘛 兩個都一樣
they get enlightened,
越來越有智慧 找回來自己的智慧
both become wiser and regain their wisdom.
所以一個人想什麼 另一個人就馬上就會懂
So when one person says something, the other will quickly understand.
就不用語言那麼多 就不用解釋那麼多
There's no need for a lot of human communication and explanation.
自然就會合在一起
They can live together naturally.
所以聖經已經講過了嘛
So the Bible says, "Seek you first the Kingdom of God
先找天帝 然後什麼都行的
then all other things shall be added unto you."

我很渴望印心 但有個問題
I am eager for initiation but my question is,
每天必須打坐兩個半小時
I have to meditate two and a half hours,
我又不曾打坐 不知是否能做到
but I've never meditated before. I wonder if I can meditate that long.
若沒做到 是否會有後遺症？
If I don't, will there be any side-affects?
不會啦，那個又不是病 又不是藥
No. This is not an illness nor medicine.
什麼有後遺症
There are no side-affects.
你做儘量嘛
Try your best.
最好就是兩個半小時
Two and a half hours is best.
如果不行的話慢慢來
If you can't, do it gradually.
比方說今天打坐二十分鐘 明天就二十一
Start with 20 minutes, tomorrow 21,
後天二十二 三天是二十五
the next day 22, the day after that 25
慢慢來會加上去
and sit longer each day.
不過我告訴你一個祕密
But let me tell you a secret.
印心了以後 我們有時站不起來
After initiation we don't want to stand up.
喜歡坐在那邊 不要去那裏的
We like to stay there and not go anywhere.
坐得很靜的
When we meditate deeply and go into samadhi,
入定的時候不想起來啦 別怕
we don't want to stand up. Don't worry about that!
請問無上師
Dear Master,
解脫比輪迴快樂嗎？ 為什麼？
is liberation happier than reincarnation?
聽說到過天上去的人 就不太想要回來人間了
I heard that people who have been to heaven
這是為什麼呢？
don't want to come back to this world. Why?
因為上面比這邊快樂自在
This is because in heaven there is more freedom and happiness.
你要想去看某一些人 看那一個佛土
If we want to visit someone, to visit Buddha's land,
一想就到了
we will be there right away.
這邊我們要搭公車 搭計程車，要開車
Here we have to spend 2 or 3 hours to reach the place we want to go,
堵塞、毒氣一大堆的
by bus or by taxi or by car
二三個小時 才到我們要到的地方
with lots of traffic jams and air pollution.
然後這邊即使有漂亮的花
Even though we have beautiful flowers here,
明天就謝了，明天就謝了
they'll wither tomorrow.
我們今天漂亮年輕
We are pretty and young today,
明年就老了、醜了 牙齒不見了
but next year we become old and ugly. And our teeth fall out.
啊！不一樣
That's the difference.
上面永久都快樂 年輕漂亮
In heaven we are eternally happy, young and beautiful.
要什麼一想就有
We get whatever we want instantly.
去那裏一想就到，等等
We can reach any place we want to go instantly.
誰不要嘛 誰要來這個地方
Who wouldn't want to stay in heaven? Nobody wants to come to this place
工作八個小時，十個小時 才賺幾千塊而已
to work 8 or 10 hours only to earn a few thousand dollars.
有時候還不夠 照顧自己家庭和生活
Sometimes it's not enough to support our family.
誰要來這個地方
Who would want to come to this place?
即使我們同修 我們修行的人
We fellow practitioners
打坐，有時候打坐 每天一二個小時而已
meditate one or two hours every day.
打坐的時候就上天堂去嘛 上那種快樂的境界
During meditation we go to heaven to enjoy the happiness
留這個身體在這邊
and leave this physical body here.
上面都很快樂 不想回來啊
We enjoy the happiness there and don't want to come back.
就是因為還有 親戚、朋友、家庭
Only because we have relatives, friends and family here,
所以還有責任 就回來照顧
we come back to fulfill our responsibilities.
只有一二個小時一天而已 還不想回來
Only one or two hours a day and we don't want to come back,
何況我們已經離開這個世界
not to mention if we have already left this world
永久不用回來
and we don't need to come back here forever.
誰想回來呢？
Who would want to come back here!
請問清海無上師
Dear Supreme Master Ching Hai,
您的法門和奧修的法門 是同樣的嗎？
is your method the same as Osho's?
如果任何的法門
If any method can help you find the Buddha Nature,
能夠幫你們找自己的 佛性的話，是同樣
then it is the same method.
如果不是的話 就不同樣
If not, then it is different.
很多法門，講不完啦
There are many methods. I can't mention all of them.
敬愛的無上師您好
Dear Master,
我覺得諾貝爾和平獎 應該頒給您才好
I think you deserve the Nobel Peace Prize.
（為什麼？） 因為聽人說最近幾年來
(Why?) I heard people say that
地球本來會發生的幾場戰爭
there were supposed to be some wars during these years
大都被無上師的大愛心 給化解開來了
but they were dissolved by your great love.
西元二千年前後 地球本來會有的大災難
And there was supposed to be a great disaster around the year 2000
也都被無上師的大愛力 給化解掉了
but it was also dissolved by your great love.
就這樣大化小，小化無
The serious became minor and the minor disappeared,
安全過關二千年
and we passed the year 2000 safely.

Yes, it's true.
不過不是說每一個人哪
But not everybody.

一貫道的信徒 可以來跟師父印心嗎？
can I-kuan Tao disciples come for initiation?
印心後我的靈魂 會提昇到更高的層次嗎？
Will my soul rise to a higher level after initiation?
濟公老師也是我的大恩師
Chi Kung Buddha is also my great teacher.
祂會答應我 來跟 無上師印心嗎？
Will he agree that I come to receive initiation from you?
祂會祝福我嗎？
Will he bless me?
還是會生氣處罰我呢？
Or will he be angry with me and punish me?
啊！那一種佛 這麼生氣？嗯？
What kind of Buddha would be so angry?
祂是佛又不是凡夫 生氣？
He is a Buddha, not an ordinary person.
祂已經走了嘛
He is already gone
現在祂交待我做這個責任嘛
and now he's asked me to carry out this duty.

So, of course, you come here to learn from me.
等一下打坐的時候 會看到祂
Later during meditation, you will see him;
看到祂的時候就可以問

我們還沒有印心
I haven't received initiation.
但是自從好友送我們 師父的相片後

每當家中發生大小困難時
Every time we have a big or small difficulty in my home,
師父都會化身來救我們
Master's transformation form comes to save us.
還沒有印心師父就會來救
If Master comes to save us without our having received initiation,
那我們還需要印心嗎？
do we still need to receive initiation?
假如我們一輩子 都不吃素印心
Will you still love us
師父您還會愛我們嗎？
if we don't receive initiation and don't become vegetarian?
會 不過最好要自己吃素
Yes. But it would be better to be vegetarian,
自己打坐修行 變成自己的老師
to meditate and be your own teacher.
也可以帶領別人學習解脫
You may guide other people to liberation.
不要那麼自私啦 為了自己而已
Don't be so selfish!

愛心可以化解 人類的仇恨和戰爭嗎？
can love dissolve people's hatred and wars?
可以，可以
Yes. Yes.
未來的世界會和平嗎？ （會）
Will there be peace in this world? (Yes.)
天堂有戰爭嗎？
Is there war in heaven?
既然已經說天堂了 怎麼還會有戰爭
It's already heaven. How can there be war?
要修行到什麼等級
What level must we reach
才會不想發動戰爭 攻打別人呢？
so that we will no longer want to attack others?
要修行的人啊 本來就不會攻打別人
Spiritual people don't attack others
也馬上就開始了
after they start practicing.
就是我們因為世界 不夠人修行才有戰爭
Not many people meditate in the world, so there still is war.
修行的人不會想打仗
Spiritual practitioners don't fight each other.
他想殺就讓你殺
If someone wants to kill them, they just let him.
更快解脫
Get liberation sooner.
請問無上師 佛菩薩、耶穌基督等人
Dear Master, why do Buddha and Jesus Christ
為什麼有救苦救難的能力
have the almighty power to save people?
這能力是從哪裏來的
Where does the power come from?
為何一般人沒有
Why don't ordinary people have it?
我們有啊！有啊 剛才講過了
Yes, we have it. I already told you.
您們有，往內心每天找
If we listen inwardly every day,
就可以救苦救難 跟佛祖一樣
we will have the same power as the Buddha.

Dear Master,
何謂愛海？ 愛海的力量有多大？
what is the ocean of love? How great is it?
愛海在哪裏？
Where is it?
要修行到什麼程度 才會體會到愛海的感覺？
Which level do we need to reach to experience the ocean of love?
人間有愛海嗎？
Does it exist in the world?
愛海是在你內邊
The ocean of love is within you.
一修一點點 已經馬上就可以感覺了
If you meditate only a little bit, then you will feel it,
然後去那裏 人就會喜愛你
and whomever you meet will like you
因為你那個愛海有打開
because you are connected with the ocean of love.

Dear Master,
為何大部份宗教 都教人不能自殺
why do most religions teach people not to commit suicide?
自殺後靈魂會到哪裏去呢？
Where will the soul go after committing suicide?
心裏痛苦的時候
Is there any way to prevent someone
有什麼方法 可以教人不想自殺呢？
who is suffering from committing suicide?
我了解，我了解
I know. I understand!
我們痛苦的時候
When we are tormented,
都會想逃離這個苦難的 離開這世界，我了解
we want to escape from the suffering and leave this world. I understand.
不過有更好的方法 可以脫離這個世界
But there is a better way to leave this world
不用傷到自己的肉體
without hurting your physical body.
就是印心 找內在自己的能力
That is to get initiation and find your own inner power.
然後會天天快樂
Then you will be happy every day.
而不是自己快樂 也可以帶來快樂給別人
You will not only be happy but also bring happiness to others;
那個時候不想自殺了
then you will no longer want to commit suicide.

Dear Master,
修行人中年喪偶
if a middle-aged practitioner loses his or her spouse and
為生理上的需要 再找異性同居而不結婚
finds another partner to live with because of physical need,
這樣有沒有犯邪淫的罪
does this violate the sexual misconduct precept?
找什麼 我聽不懂
I don't quite understand!
就是找另外一個女生一起住
Find another partner and live together,
不結婚但是住在一起
just live together and not get married.
喔…沒關係啊，沒關係
It's OK. It doesn't matter.
結婚是在心裏嘛 不是說那塊紙啊
Marriage is in the heart; it's not just a piece of paper.
如果對另外那一半 忠心的、疼愛的
If you treat your partner faithfully,
還是跟結婚一樣
that is the same as getting married.
邪淫就是說 我們佔人家便宜啊
To break the sexual misconduct precept means
或是佔別的太太丈夫啊 沒有他們同意
to take advantage of others
或是有這種比較 對別人不尊重
or take another's husband or wife without his or her agreement.
為了身體那種慾望而占有
We don't respect others.
不是說為了互相疼愛 不是說為了互相尊重
We just satisfy lustful desires
那個時候就是說邪淫
without love and respect for each other;
即使你結婚 也是算犯邪淫
then we call it sexual misconduct.
如果說不尊重丈夫太太的話
Even if you get married but you don't respect your husband or wife,
請問無上師
then you also break the sexual misconduct precept.
對於曾經 嚴重傷害過我們的人
Dear Master,
該如何對待他們呢？
how do we treat people
也想忘記過去的傷痛
who have hurt us very badly?
但是總是傷痛 如影隨形來拜訪
I also want to forget this painful memory
我該如何忘記過去 而且原諒他們呢？
but the pain haunts me.
原諒他，原諒他
How can I forget this and forgive them?
不能忘記，也要原諒
Forgive him. Forgive him.
等一下時間過了 也會忘記
Even if you can't forget it, you have to forgive him.
我們要多自己修行 自己改變自己內心
We will forget as time passes by.
就可以影響別人
We need to meditate more and change our heart by ourselves;
不要用暴力對待暴力
then it will influence others.

Don't return violence with violence.
八年前我就在錄音帶中 聽到師父說
Dear Master,
我們要有愛心而吃素
I listened to your cassette 8 years ago.
小動物們才會高興
You said we must develop our love and be a vegetarian;
我也很不願意殺生、吃肉
then animals will be happy.
可是卻常在報紙雜誌上 看到中西醫師說
I don't want to eat meat or have animals killed.
警告我們不可以吃素
But I read in the newspaper that Chinese and Western doctors
否則會營養不良 會失去健康
advise us not to be vegetarian
還會變成醜八怪
for fear of malnutrition and poor health
所以我很痛苦
as well as becoming ugly.
不知道要選擇愛心 還是選擇健康美麗
It is hard for me to decide whether I should be more loving or more healthy and beautiful.
我看起來很像醜八怪嗎？ 啊…啊…
Am I ugly? Hm?
不要侮辱我好不好
Don't insult me!
我們是很漂亮的
We are pretty!
你看我們小姐那邊很漂亮
See the lady there - she is very pretty!
你們都是同修嗎？ 是啊
Are you fellow initiates? Yes.
你看她們多漂亮
Look how beautiful they are.
沒什麼醜八怪啊 像仙女一樣
Not ugly! They're like fairies.
越修行越漂亮
The more you practice,
越年輕，我保證
the prettier and younger you become. I promise.
這個看我們同修外面 都知道啦
Just look at our disciples and you will know it.
有一些人跟我印心 十五年二十年
Some disciples got initiated 15 or 20 years ago.
等好久不見回來看 一模一樣
When I see them after many years, they look exactly the same.
沒有長老到那裏去
They haven't aged a bit.
我自己也很驚訝
I am surprised too.
我說：「是你嗎？ 怎麼都沒有老啊」
I ask her, "Is that you? Why haven't you aged?"
她說：「我打坐很乖啦」
And she says, "Because I have been meditating every day."

Dear Supreme Master Ching Hai,
請問清海無上師開示
with my great respect and honor, please guide me.
這二十幾年來 我雖然有些劣習
I have had some bad habits for over 20 years.
但是我一直堅信佛法
I firmly believed in Buddha,
但最後終被朋友嫉妒陷害
but was set up by my friends.
我忍受了一年多 搬了兩次家
I bore it for over one year and moved twice.
他們卻如影隨形逼迫我
They followed me like shadows.
最後無路可走
Finally there was no place to turn.
去年年底，佛心頓起
At the end of last year,
並對佛發誓 生生世世永不再…
I swore to Buddha, "I will..."
嗯…對不起 前面是憎心頓起
Excuse me.
憎恨的心頓起
My hatred reached its peak
並對佛發誓
and I swore to Buddha,
生生世世永不再相信佛法 不入佛教
I will never believe in Buddha again or become a Buddhist.
並發誓對其中二位害我的人
I vowed to take my revenge
做殘酷的報復懲罰
against these people who hurt me very much.
若沒依誓言，願下地獄
If my vow is not fulfilled, then I would rather go to hell."
請問我如果做了之後
If I do it,
回歸皈依上帝主耶穌基督 專心侍奉上帝
and then turn to Jesus, and devote my life to God,
請問上帝會喜歡 並赦免我的罪嗎？
will He like me and forgive me?
你認為呢？ 你們認為呢？
What do you think?
會不會
Yes or no?
是就對啦
Yes. That's correct.
不過既然已經知道 後來會皈依上帝
Since you plan to devote yourself to God
會當乖乖的信徒
and be a good disciple,
為什麼不從今天 已經做了呢？
why not do it from today?
為什麼先傷害人才做呢？
Why devote to God after hurting people?
那個人他傷害你 他很無明
He is ignorant, so he hurt you.
比方說很無聊的人 很沒有責任感才做的
Only the ignorant, without any sense of responsibility, will hurt people.
現在你做跟他一樣
If you do the same to him as he did to you,
那兩個有什麼不同
then what is the difference between you two?
你為什麼生氣他
Why are you angry with him?
所以我們原諒別人 上帝更原諒我們
We forgive others and God will forgive us even more.
因為我們自己會原諒自己
We will forgive ourselves,
自己會覺得自己是 大丈夫、大君子
we will feel we are a great man, a real gentleman,
大宏大量的
open-hearted and forgiving.
不然的話我們那個良心 以後也會不安穩
Otherwise we will have a guilty conscience.
既然上帝原諒我們 我們自己恐怕心情不安
Even if God forgives us, we will feel uneasy.
最好過去就忘了
Forget it.
忘了，忘了是最好
Best to forget it!
繼續修行以後心情會快樂
Continue meditating and you will be happy
什麼人都原諒
and able to forgive anyone.
耶穌基督，你看 人家對祂那麼殘暴
Like Jesus Christ, people treated him so violently
祂還求上帝原諒他們
yet he asked God to forgive them.
何況我們這麼一點點 要忍耐好了
In comparison, we suffer just a little. Be patient.
這個生命只有一世
We only have one life.
早晚我們也會離開這身體
We will leave this physical body sooner or later.
所以誰對我們怎麼樣 也是短暫
No matter how they treat us, it is temporary.
我們的靈魂 永久不會被傷害的
Our soul will never get hurt.
我們是要修行原諒別人 才是最好的報仇的方式
Meditation and forgiveness are the best revenge.

四十三年來
For the past 43 years,
我莫名地憂鬱、害怕、恐懼
I have been afraid and sad without any reason.
這些令我覺得 干擾修行很嚴重
This seriously interferes with my spiritual practice.
請問如何處理
What should I do?
您會像達摩祖師那樣 令人安心嗎？
Can you make me feel safe and secure like the Bodhidharma could?

It depends on you.
你要安心的話 就要印心
If you want to feel secure, then get initiation. OK!
親愛的師父您好
Dear Master, greetings to you!
請問您，既然佛如如不動
Since Buddha is in the state of tranquility and serenity,
為何宇宙又會被創造
how was the universe created?
被什麼
What?
（創造？） 創造
Created.
祂如如不動 不過自然會創造的
He is in stillness, but nature creates the universe.
有兩個，都一樣
The two are the same.
一個是如如不動 一個是創造，是同一體的
One is stillness, the other is creativity. They are all one.
比方說這個海 大大大的海
Take a big ocean for example.
它的水本來就是水而己
The water there is just water.
它的水我們放那裡 都很安靜，是嗎？
It is all quiet and still, right?
不過因為有風嘛
But the wind,
有地球轉變，有太陽吸引力 所以它才有浪
the rotation of the earth and gravity of the sun cause waves
那個浪也是大海
and the waves are the ocean too.
不過那個浪 把那個海弄不一樣
It is just that the waves make the ocean different.
同樣，上帝佛心如如不動
Similarly, God, Buddha is stillness,
就是那個佛性一對的不動的
the Buddha Nature is stillness, tranquility.
不過在那個不動裏面 會有變動
But there is movement within the stillness
因為宇宙就是這樣
because the universe is like this.
比方說我們開悟了以後
For example after enlightenment
我們就會看什麼 都會有轉動的
we see everything is moving.
比方說這個桌子
Take this table for example.
下面是木頭嘛，看到嗎？
The legs of the table are made of wood. You see it? OK!
我們看起來它是不動的 站這樣不動的
It looks still,
不過它裡面 什麼都動在裡面
but inside all the elements are moving.
我們看一塊石頭 看起來默默不動的
We see a stone; it looks still
千變萬化在裡面
but many changes are taking place inside.
你自己開智慧眼才看得到
Once you open your wisdom eye,
如如不動，不過有動的 是怎麼樣的意思
you will see it.

您看到的佛陀 是什麼樣子的呢？
what form of Buddha do you see?

If you want Him as a male, He's male; want Him as a female, He's female.
祂不是像我們是 固定有一個性的
He doesn't have a fixed gender like we do.
就你要祂有樣子祂有樣子
He will transform into the form you wish to see Him in.
你要祂沒有樣子 祂就沒有樣子
If you want to see the formless form, then that is what you will get.
看我們的程度
It depends on our level.
比方說我們修行 到第一個境界
For example, we reach the first level
就我們看佛性裡面 像中午太陽
and we see the Buddha Nature just like the midday sun.
我們要修行更高了以後 看佛性更亮
If we reach the higher level,
比那個一千太陽還要亮 比方說這個樣子
we see the Buddha Nature brighter than a thousand suns.
然後我們有時候 比方說到第三個程度
For example, when we reach the third level,
佛會化身出來 跟一個人一樣
Buddha will manifest Himself in human form
或是跟耶穌 跟釋迦牟尼佛一樣
or in the form of Jesus or Sakyamuni Buddha
跟我們教育東西
to teach us and
也用我們自己 本身的語言講話
use our own language to communicate with us.
不是說用那個觀音的 那種音流講話而己
Not just the sound of Quan Yin.
祂也可以用台語跟我們溝通
He can even communicate in the Taiwanese dialect.
所以看我們的程度 佛就變什麼程度給我們看
Buddha will manifest into the form corresponding to our level.

Wisdom is our original nature.
知識就是我們自己學來 從這個世界學來
Knowledge is what we learn from this world.
智慧就是本來就有 什麼都懂
We originally possess wisdom. It knows everything.
什麼都不用學 什麼都會
There is no need to learn anything. It can accomplish anything.
這個是叫智慧
That is wisdom.
知識就是我們在外表要學
Knowledge is something we learn from outside.
比方說要學英文 要跟英文老師學
For example, we learn English From an English teacher,
要學中文就跟中文老師學
learn Chinese from a Chinese teacher,
要學開車等等 就要跟不同的老師學
learn driving from yet another teacher.
這個是知識
This is knowledge.
不過我們智慧本來什麼都會
But our wisdom knows everything.
有智慧了以後 學什麼又更快
Once wisdom develops, we learn everything quicker.
